As a leading manufacturer and supplier of Sodium Metabisulfite in China, Tianya chemical exports high quality Sodium Metabisulfite product for shrimp and crab treatment, such as shrimp treament in Ecuador. Our Sodium Metabisulfite product for shrimp is with excellent performance.

Sodium metabisulfite application process in fresh shrimp and crab:

1. Spray method

Weigh sea shrimp and crab and put them into a plastic fish box.

Prepare a 5% sodium metabisulfite solution with clean seawater or drinking water.

The ratio between the using amount of sodium metabisulfite solution used and the mass of sea shrimp is 1:10.

Use a spray can or watering can to evenly spray the sodium metabisulfite solution onto the surface of the shrimp in the box, until the preservation solution flows out in strands from the bottom of the fish box.

2. Impregnation method

Pour 1500g of sodium metabisulfite into 100kg of clean seawater or drinking water in an immersion bucket to prepare a 1.5% sodium metabisulfite solution.

Stir for 5-10 seconds to fully dissolve sodium metabisulfite.

Immerse a basket of 25kg-30kg washed and drained sea shrimp in a solution of sodium metabisulfite, and shake slightly up and down to ensure that the shrimp is completely submerged and in full contact with the solution. After about 2 minutes, remove it.

Lift the shrimp basket and drain the solution.

After repeating the above steps for 15 baskets of impregnation, 750g of sodium metabisulfite should be added to the impregnation bucket, and clean seawater or drinking water should be added to 100kg.

After repeating the above steps for 15 baskets of immersion, the sodium metabisulfite solution should be prepared again.

Adjust the container size and shrimp handling capacity according to the actual production situation.

Sodium metabisulfite usage process in shrimp and crab products:

For shrimp and crab products, first use the above method to treat fresh shrimp and crab with sodium metabisulfite solution, then proceed with processing according to requirements (such as peeling shrimp, cutting, etc.), and finally freeze or dry before packaging to obtain the finished product.
